A new species: Ukrainian copycat

As imitation is usually considered the highest form of flattery, in 2005 Ole Munk got a new (but quite unexpected) reason to feel proud. His 2004 redesign of the world’s biggest freesheet, Metro, was copied down to the last detail by a Ukrainian publication called OBZOR. Vignettes, quotation marks, colour coding, etc; even the Metro globe made its way into the design of the new free paper. Now have a close look at the two news pages below.
