The Danish Bible Society

1 July 2012, the website of Bibelselskabet (the Danish Bible Society) was relaunched with a new design, created by Ribergaard & Munk with Synne Garff, project manager at the Bible Society, and with our former employee Allan Kaas as an external partner.

”Access to all our contents has become much easier on the new website”, says Synne Garff who takes care of digital development within the Bible Society. ”We have reorganized a comprehensive material and our visual communication has been enhanced with new features, such as video clips and photo galleries”.

On a website like, the most important thing is making it easy for users to find what they are looking for. As navigation was our top priority, we created a simple architecture based on three parallel tracks which contribute to a clear organization of topics.
Hoping that this structure will prove to be persistent, we chose a subtle yet contrastful design which looks modern without being downright trendy.

Every month, 80,000-100,000 people visit, and the number is growing.
It pleases general secretary Morten Thomsen Hoejsgaard to have taken one more step into the digital age:
”Our new user-friendly website is part of an overall digital strategy of the Bible Society which aims at leading the Bible into the 21st century. Obviously, the Bible has to be where people are”.
